We’re keen to make fruit growing a part of the culture in Leeds & Bradford, so each year, we host a variety of events that follow the rhythm of the fruit growing season.

From Apple Days in the autumn, where we make juice using a traditional press, to selling trees we’ve grown at farmers markets, we also host Wassails—an ancient orchard tradition in winter—along with public talks and much more.

Got an event idea you’d like us to get involved with? We’d love to hear from you, get in touch!

Wassail

The ancient English tradition of Wassailing involves drinking hot apple juice or mulled cider, food, songs, and ‘blessing’ the trees in the hope of a good harvest.
